When it comes to career, personal finance, and lifestyle, there are certain products and services that I LOVE! Some of these I discuss in the podcast, and all of them I use actively myself. I’ll keep this site up-to-date with the latest tools I use.

Money Tools

Here are the tools I use to keep track of, and invest, my money.

Note: Investments are always risky and financial advisors often make mistakes — and I’m not even a financial advisor! While these are all tools and investments I use, do your own due diligence (and let me know if you come across any issues!).

Personal Capital

Personal Capital is one of the easiest ways to track your net worth for free. Know exactly how much you’re worth, how much you make, and how much you spend every month — and watch it trend over time. Right now you can get a $20 Amazon gift card if you sign up for free and connect one investment account with at least $1,000 in it.

M1 Finance

I first came across M1 Finance a few years back at a conference and I’ve been blown away with how they’ve grown! And there’s good reason — it’s the easiest way to create a diversified portfolio without paying any added fees. While you may have fun day trading with apps like Robinhood and WeBull, if you want a “set and forget” way to grow your wealth, M1 is the app for you. Almost all of my non-retirement stocks are now invested through M1. And right now, M1 will give you $10 after investing your first $100.

Fundrise Real Estate Investing

Fundrise was the first equity crowdfunding investment I ever made, when I put in $100 back in 2014. Since then I’ve invested in multiple of their funds, purchased equity in the company itself, and am now invested in their tech innovation fund. I’ve enjoyed watching my quarterly dividends drop in the bank and have appreciated the conservative investment approach the team takes — which has kept returns healthy even when markets fluctuate. If you’re interested in getting started with equity real estate investing, Fundrise will give you $50 when you set up a new account.

Worthy Bonds

Worthy Bonds offers a consistent 5% investment return by making inventory-backed loans to small businesses. This helps keep your investment secure while helping small businesses across America. Because these funds are quick to withdraw and offer a better return than my bank account, I use Worthy as an emergency fund. Not only can you buy bonds in increments of $10, but Worthy will give you a $10 bond just for signing up!

Groundfloor Real Estate Investing

While Fundrise allows you to invest in real estate funds, Groundfloor opens up individual property loans where you can choose exactly where to put your money, $10 at a time. Put your money to work by funding property flips and earn target annual returns between 6-12%+. Right now, Groundfloor will give you $50 after investing your first $100.
